Level of training: Technical diving

General provisions

The course Tec 45 – follows the course Tec 40, the level in the line of the courses. It is designed for longer and deeper dives. This is the second grad course in the full course of technical diving. The use of full set technical equipment including and the spark with the wing and additional deco-tank is learnt within the course.

Course objectives:

  • the skills of handling the equipment and planning the dives to the maximum depth of 45m are practiced;
  • panning and performing single and recurrent dives using decompression stage cylinder with nitrox (EAN) or an oxygen using more conservative approach to calculating decompression stops;
  •  the order of the actions in emergencies, the skills and procedures which will be required for performing deeper technical dives than at the previous level of learning are learnt;
  • the following topics are learnt: selection of a mix, an inflator for argon supply system, work with 3 or 4 decompression cylinders, decompression models.

The terms of enrolling in the course Tec 45:

  1. a certificate of PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or an equivalent certificate issued by another organization);
  2. a certificate PADI Rescue Diver (or an equivalent certificate issued by another organization);
  3. a certificate PADI Enriched Air Diver (or an equivalent certificate issued by another organization);
  4. a certificate PADI Deep Diver (or an equivalent certificate issued by another organization);
  5. a certificate PADI Tec 40 (or an equivalent certificate issued by another organization);
  6. to commit a minimum of 50 logged dives the following type:
  • 12 EAN dives deeper than 18 meters;
  • 6 dives deeper than 30 meters;
  • age at least 18 years;
  • to obtain doctor’s permit (availability of a signed medical form).
